This is part of a sponsored campaign with DiMe Media and Coca-Cola. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
I wanted to share something that is really close to my heart, education. Education is really important in my household, my grandmother instilled the importance of it in my mother and she passed on that feeling to my brother and I. My grandmother felt that being well educated gave you a brighter future. She was right about that, because she had so many degree’s I lost count and because of them she was able to experience so much more of life. She was a theatre major, Dental hygienist, Dental technician, Medical coder and so much more; I am so very proud of her. I am so grateful that my family instiled this in me because it made me work harder at school and helped me get to the place I am now in my life. That’s why when I heard how Coca-Cola and the Hispanic Scholarship fund were teaming up to help Latino families with grants to further their education I was elated and wanted to share it with you guys.
My Brother’s: Daniel and Gabriel
It’s August and that means back to school for a lot of folks especially teens going on to college. My brother is Gabriel is actually attending college this month and he is super excited. He worked so hard through high school and was able to get a scholarship to his school of choice. There were ups and downs but he pulled through it all, I am so happy for him and glad that his hard work payed off.
My Brother’s: Angel, Daniel and Gabriel
Something I learned about college is to study hard and never give up no matter how much you feel like you have to. It honestly get’s better and is so worth all the blood, sweat and tears you will experience.
Education is something that is very important to Latino families so Coca-Cola and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund are teaming up to help make a difference!. As families plan for the next step in their teen’s education process it’s time to think about not only potential schools to attend but also financial aid, scholarships and getting students and their families prepared for the many changes that lie ahead for both.
