The leaves are falling, the temperatures are dropping and that means the holidays are coming and we have so much we can be thankful for. This week is thanksgiving and I can’t wait to be surrounded by my family and the amazing meal that we will be having. I am so thankful that I can spend thanksgiving with my family from all over. My family is from Cuba and Dominican republic so when ever I can see them it’s truly a blessing and it brings me close to home and that sense of togetherness because of the holidays.
When they are around I start hearing sayings that I haven’t heard in a while. Words that in my language mean something but it’s hard to truly translate them like “Friolenta, means becoming chilly or it’s chilly” or Madrugar, means getting up mad early to shop on black Friday” Which are two of my favorite things, shopping and it getting Friolenta! It reminds me of home aka New York City, their is something about the cold that gives me a sense of comfort and the holiday spirit. This weather is my absolute favorite type of weather of all time, you guys have known me for a bit now and you know when it get’s chilly I get way to dang excited about it. I couldn’t wait to share my finds with you guys at Target.
With my family being around and the temperature dipping it get’s me in the mood to find great deals, so I went to Target to get a few things on my check list. Of course I made sure to get myself hot coco and a few decorations for la casa, para hacer la casa se sienta mas como the holidays. “To make the home feel more like the holidays”
You know me I love finding deals and when I was looking for decorations for the home I spotted this houndstooth jacket that I have been eyeing for a hot minute but didn’t get. Let me tell you when I saw that $14 price tag I felt like it was black Friday It truly made my day. I also found another jacket for $12 that I will be posting on another post for you guys.
When this type of weather rolls around I take advantage of it and wear every sweater or jacket I own. I literally make any excuse when I feel a chill in the air to grab a cup of coco and throw my jacket on a get a bit cozy.
For me the holidays are not about the presents, the turkey or Madrugar, “I mean todo eso es bien, pero mi familia e yo truly cherish los momentos que tenemos juntos” I mean all that is great but my family truly cherishes the moments we have together. Mi familia e yo vivimos tan lejos, asi que cuando tenemos estos momentos especiales que realmente calienta mi corazon. Because we all live so far apart, so when we have these special moments it really warms my heart. I swear I didn’t try to rhyme… haha jaja
What are your traditions? and how does your family celebrate the holidays? ¿Cuáles son sus tradiciones ? y cómo su familia a celebrar los días de fiesta

Well at least that’s the case for myself. I Only shop in the clearance rack or when there is a sale i cannot pass up. It is possible to shop for fashionable clothing on a budget. And i’m here to help and give tips on how to achieve this. I want to show that you can still be a Fierce and Fabulous Curvy Gal on a thrift store budget.
