Covering Full Figured Fashion Week for INtense Magazine and for the blog Curvy Girl on a Budget was so much fun. I just had to blog about an amazing group that performed before the Fashion Show, they were the Glamazons a Plus Size Burlesque Pop group best known for making it to the Top 8 on Season 2 of America’s Got Talent! They were Created in 2001, The Glamazons are a plus-size pop group whose mission is to show the world that talent comes in all sizes.
They are known for their high energy live shows with tight vocal harmonies and precision choreography in which they perform everything from show tunes to hip hop. They have toured all over the world, including stops in Italy, Key West, Los Angeles, New York and Branson, MO. They were also featured in Torrid’s Spring 2008 advertising campaign, appearing in Seventeen, Glamour and Bust magazines. These ladies came out and rocked that stage, we all loved them and could these curvy beauties move! Hope I get the chance to see them perform again.
Marta Rivera is a blogger from Puerto Rico, she is an English professor and a Plus Size advocate on the Island, an Island that is mainly for thin models, but she is trying her best to change that.
