The announcement that I had been waiting for a long time was released this past weekend. Suzanne Ujaque who is a TV/Internet host-Su StyleTv and Jewelry Designer invited Plus Model Magazine Editor and Chief Madeline Jones and Marcy Guevara, Host & Plus-size Style Expert to be by her side when she made the announcement.
The Curvy Fashion Week will be from March 31 to April 6. Press from all around Puerto Rico covered it and I had the honor of being there last Saturday to cover it for Curvy Girl.
I arrived at The Concha Hotel where they received the media, makeup artist Charmed Eyes was in charge of Madeline Jones and Marcy Guevaras makeup, photographer Vanessa Velez was also there taking pics and was part of the shoot.
Photographer Hector Castillo, Imagen, Wapa TV, ILook Magazine, Tirzha Alcaide among others also covered it. CEO of Evolve Magazine and co-owner of British Plus Size Fashion Weekend Rianne Ward sent a beautiful message to Suzanne Ujaque telling her that she supports her Curvy Latina Sisters and this event.
Plus Model Ana Garcia was also invited to participate in the shoot, she looked gorgeous in a Cenia New York Design. We were told that this event is for all the Curvy Community on the Island as well as internationally to participate in everything that will be happening that week, from fashion tips, health, lifestyle, among other wonderful things for our Curvy Girls.
The look on Madeline Jones face was priceless, being from Puerto Rico and to see this great curvy movement in her beloved Island makes her so happy she told me.
