When you think of dish soap you think of one thing and that’s washing that huge load of dishes. But what if I told you that your dish soap has more than one use? Yup you heard that right, I am going to show you a few tips and tricks on how you can stretch your dollar out by recycling your Palmolive dish-soap.
In my household palmolive has been a stable ever since I was little I remember my mother using it all the time. Not only for dishes but for household chores around the house. I headed to Walmart to get myself a bottle or two of Palmoilve, I loved that they had such a huge selection and it was so easy to find.
My first tip if for cleaning your makeup brushes, my mother taught me this ever since I was a teenager and started experimenting with makeup. She advised me to make a warm soapy mixture to clean my makeup brushes weekly.
First you make sure you pour half a bowl of warm water and a few squeezes of Palmolive dish soap till the bowl is all bubbly. My brother wanted to help me clean the brushes and he was laughing so hard because once the brush hit the warm soapy mixture all you saw was brown haha Evidence below!
After getting all the gunk out, lay out a few paper towels and let them air dry! It’s important to always wash your brushes a few times a month, because all that makeup builds up in those brushes and can leave you with breakouts. Trust me I learned the hard way.
Next use I have is the soak your nails in the Palmolive coconut butter before a mani. Let me tell you it felt so amazing and left my hands soft afterwards.
During the summer your animal is susceptible to getting fleas easily. I know this because sometimes I find little bugs on my poor doggy Snoppy. I suggest to wash your dog in Palmolive dish soap once a month to keep bugs away. I have done this for my dog every month and it keeps all of those nasty critters off my dog Snoopy. Make sure to rinse it all off, it can make his skin a bit dry if you don’t. As you can see in the photos below he is a bit sad because he really dislikes bath time haha
Quick tip: Before I moved from Miami I had a huge garden and would always have pesky bugs get on all my vegetables and eat them all up before I could actually enjoy them. So my mom and I decided enough was enough and researched how to get ready of them. We found out that if you fill a spray bottle with water and some Palmolive soap and spray your plants it will kill those bugs instantly!
Starting today Palmolive is hosting a fabulous giveaway make sure to enter the Palmolive Sweepstakes, where you can win a $2,000 Walmart gift card and other weekly prizes. How awesome is that? Check out the #Palmolive25Ways Hashtag for more tips ans tricks!!
