This big wide world can be a scary place, the sad truth is that we live in a culture where low self-esteem is the norm. There nothing is more important than a healthy sense of self-esteem and loving yourself, that is a fact. I think that life becomes simpler and lighter when you love yourself and have high self-esteem. Why beat yourself up or drag yourself down over mistakes or temporary setbacks… you are just complicating your life. When you have high self-esteem you’ll stop trying to get so much validation and attention from other people. You will become less needy and find an inner stability even when your world might be negative or uncertain at times.
The increasing self-esteem and self-love also makes you feel more deserving of good things in life and so you’ll self-sabotage less and go after what you deep down want with more motivation and focus than ever before. Listen carefully…value your self-esteem highly, simply because it can make your life so much happier and more fun. I love to see women of all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life with high self-esteem especially from my Island, these ladies you are about to meet inspire me, they are confident, know what they want and go after it… read what they have to say about having high self-esteem:

The key to having high self-esteem is to have confidence in yourself, to love your body and celebrate it in order to feel comfortable in your own skin. This is very necessary because if we feel it..it is projected to those around us, it is what others can see. Beauty is the perception of those who see, and we must be proud of the beauty that we own all day when we walk out the door. As long as you’re happy with our body you have everything it takes to conquer the world!

If I were to rate my self-esteem from 1 to 10 it would be a 10..How do I maintain high self-esteem? The first thing I do is walk out the door feeling beautiful, I am a curvy lady and proud of it, always looking my best, from head to toe, I even combine my undergarments. I love to look in the mirror because I am beautiful and I accept myself as I am, the opinions of others do not define me.
There is no other way to continue life until we learn to love ourselves and value ourselves as we are. I learned from my early childhood to love myself because if I didn’t do it nobody would do it for me. …Yes, I have high self-esteem because I accept myself as I am being confident and unique, I love makeup, wearing pretty clothes and always looking my best. I have been an inspiration to other girls to value and accept themselves juts the way they are
… THAT MAKES ME HAPPY!

I feel comfortable and happy being curvy . I have high self-esteem because I don’t really listen to criticism from anyone, I have broken barriers…even becoming a Plus Size Beauty Queen. I stay humble because you can be the most beautiful woman in the world but if you are not humble, you have nothing.. you do not need a dress size or ideal weight to reach your goals. I love myself just the way I am.
Loving yourself, self-respect, are basic elements to practice for a high self-esteem, which in turn is how you’re going to throw the current demanding world which expects women to look flawless. Good grooming is vital to maintain high self-esteem. Fix your hair, use makeup, dress nicely put on some nice shoes, this makes us feel beautiful regardless of our size.
I am proud to be curvy because at my size I achieved some of my goals. I was chosen by a jury to represent the image of a Boutique for plus-size women. I’ve participated in several fashion shows throughout the island and in TV Shows…remember to love and respect yourself and prove to the world the beautiful woman in you.
Self-esteem comes from being able to define the world in your own terms and refusing to abide by the judgments of others.” ― Oprah Winfrey
