My next few blogs will be about inspiring women from Puerto Rico, women who are strong, determined, humble and beautiful inside and out. One day I was checking out Facebook and I saw a pic that left me speechless, it was of some of the beautiful girls that work at Torrid, a store I love, one caught my eye.
I literally stared at the pic for hours, yes it touched me that much. Her name is Barbara J. Negron and her nickname is Barbie. I got in touch with her and she told me her story.
A year ago she was riding her bike with her daughter and they fell, Barbie protected her little girl and her leg suffered injuries leading to an amputation. She told me that her family has been so supportive and that is her biggest blessing.
Barbie has two jobs one at Torrid and another one at Disney Store at Plaza Las Americas she says that her co workers have given her a lot of support and love. Talking to her is like breathing fresh air, so positive at what like has thrown at her.
We could learn a lot from her when we feel sorry for ourselves complaining about silly things. I hope her story touched your heart as it did mine.
