Beauty Disaster: Plucking your eyebrows way to close to your mirror..
Then looking like you are questioning the world , well unfortunately i have been through this many times. When you’re focused on every little hair, you don’t keep track of the shape of the entire eyebrow. The result? Thin or uneven brows. (which in the picture below you can clearly see) A better way to achieve an even look is opening a curtain to let Natural light in and placing a large mirror there. I find the natural light helps me focus on getting everything even. Brows should be in proportion to your face shape and the placement and size of your features. Move closer to the mirror and begin tweezing. Step back after every few hairs to check the symmetry of your brows.
Beauty Disaster: A surprise zit
Don’t you just hate when your planning a big night with your friends and then you look in the mirror and an unexpected friend joined the party? Yes i’m talking about a zit! First, don’t panic, because stress only makes things worse. Then, reach for your zit emergency kit (which you should always have in your purse): a spot treatment and a small tube of concealer.
Beauty Disaster: Dark Underarms
Yes i said Dark Marks, the ones that are caused by shaving. In some cases shaving irritates the skin and causes Dark marks under your arm. Also according to at least one dermatologist, dark spots under your arms are the result of dead skin cells that are trapped in microscopic “hills and valleys” on your skin.
I suggest using Dove’s Clear Tone™ Skin Renew Deodorant. Its unique formula, made with calendula and sunflower seed extracts, moisturizes to accelerate the natural skin renewal process, helping to visibly reduce dark marks and even tone with regular use over time, while providing 24-hour odor and wetness protection. I swear by it, i have very sensitive skin so anything makes me break out. Dove Products have been in my family since i was a young kid.
Beauty Disaster: Using too much Product
If you OD’d on hairspray or smoothing serum, spray your roots with dry shampoo or sprinkle on some talcum powder to absorb the grease,” The best way to deal with too much hairspray, gel, or mousse (all alcohol-based products) is to brush your hair until it no longer feels crunchy and stiff. I suggest using Dove’s Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo it absorbs oil to transform hair from lifeless to bouncy so you enjoy style that looks and feels refreshed with a freshly-washed scent, even when you skip your regular wash.
Beauty Disaster: Chipped Nail
Don’t you just hate when you just get your nails done, and as soon as you leave the spa you either smash your freshly done pedi against your car or smudge your Mani all over the wall. The solution: is to have the polish with you (so BYO bottle to the nail salon next time). Yes i just said that! So you can place a dot of polish on the chipped or smudged area. Let it dry then apply another coat.,If you don’t have polish on, just whip out your trusty Nail file and start filing away at the chipped part so its less noticeable. which i know every girl has in her purse.
