Last weekend I was invited along with the Latina Houston Bloggers to an exclusive CHI make over event. When HLB emailed me about the event I was so happy, that whole entire week leading up to the day I was on cloud 9. Last time I was at CHI it was at the Chi factory touring the wonderful building, you can see the recap here. It was so awesome to walk into the CHI lonestar school and see the HLB sign, I am so proud and lucky to be apart of a group of strong Latina woman who help each other grow.
CHI had a yummy spread ready for us once we walked in so we can mingle with each other while they set everything up.
It was so nice seeing the HLB bloggers again especially in this amazing setting. It was so scary for me not to wear any makeup but I welcomed it; because I work in a place where I am required to wear makeup so to have a few hours without any on was very nice.
These are the students of CHI Lonestar college they were so nice and made us feel like home.
After meeting all of the students we were taken to the studio in the back to get our no makeup close ups. The photographer and camera people made us feel very comfortable and at ease while shooting photos it was such a fun environment.
We headed back into the CHI facility and took our seats, I had these two lovely ladies take care of my hair.
Just some of the products they used in our hair, I love that CHI products are able to be used for your skin as well how cool is that?
There was a big spread of CHI products and what they were using today on our hair, there was also a camera crew interviewing some of the students and makeup artists at the event. Something that I love about CHI products is that they never leave my hair sticky or flaky, it always feels so healthy.
Dominique was such an awesome hairstylist, she made my hair so soft follow her on instagram here. She explained to me how each product worked and showed me how to style my hair. She even let me know about the CHI tools and which one works best for me.
Viri from Lopez marketing was live streaming the whole event, it was so much fun to be able to talk about what CHI has done with my hair and makeup.
After getting my hair laid I was sent to get my makeup done by Melissa; you can follow her here.
I made sure to ask everything she put on my face so I could let you guys know. You all know I am a makeup junkie and had to know what goodies she was painting on my face. As a primer she used Smashbox cosmetics photo finish primer, my foundation is Tarte cosmetics in fair and tan mixed. Contour is of course Anastasia Beverly hills powder contouring palette in medium ; my brows is the dipbrow in chocolate. My highlight is a new item by INGLOT that isn’t out yet but thank goodness this highlighter came into my life because I am ready for when it comes out.
I wanted to share a quick video of my hair done by Dominique. Thank you to everyone who helped me take my pictures, you are all truly so awesome!!
After getting everything done it was time to shoot, they led us to the CHI studio in the back we were greeted by the same crew earlier that day for our before shots.

I started blogging about Fashion and Beauty, plus events i attend frequently around the USA. As a Plus size or Curvy girl its hard to find nice clothing on a budget. Well at least that’s the case for myself. I Only shop in the clearance rack or when there is a sale i cannot pass up. It is possible to shop for fashionable clothing on a budget. And i’m here to help and give tips on how to achieve this. I want to show that you can still be a Fierce and Fabulous Curvy Gal on a thrift store budget.
