Walgreens keeping you and your family healthy

Finding affordable healthcare this day and age is hard, let alone trying to get it for your whole family. It can be quite expensive especially if you don’t have insurance. So when I heard of Walgreens new and improved healthcare clinic I was so excited to check it out and share what I found out about them.

I headed to Walgreens which was less than ten minutes away from my house which is so convenient for my family and I. I was so happy it wasn’t too packed I had a few other people in front of me. I met the Nurse Practitioner at the front desk and she told me what they offered and told me to go to the side to make an appointment.

She showed me how easy it was to use the touch screen tablet to make an appointment and to specify what was ailing me. I have a bad knee from an injury I had a few months ago, till this day it is still painful and I have a hard time moving my leg certain ways without screaming out in pain. So something like the Walgreens Healthcare Clinic will save me so much time and money, and get my leg working in no time.

They offer  immunizations, physicals and wellness visits,health screenings and testing,they treat aches and pains,skin conditions and so much more! They even have a special for School and Sport Physicals for only $39 dollars, originally it was $60 dollars. That is perfect for back to school to get you child checked!

They were called before “Walgreens “Take Care Clinic” they heard your feedback and re did the whole clinic and added more services. Some of them are:

Vaccines: Teranus shots, Flu shot, Diphtheria, Pertussis,MMR, HPV,HEP A&B and so many more!

Physicals & Wellness Visits: Health Screenings & Testing. Checking Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Diabetes screening and more!
They also treat Seasonal Allergies,joint pain,cold,flu,sinus infections and more.

They also treat ongoing health conditions like :

Acid influx & acid indigestionAsthma / Chronic bronchitis, Cardiovascular Conditions,Diabetes,Osteoarthritis/ Osteoporosis, Thyroid disorders, Medications & Treatments :EpiPen refills / Injection services,Medication renewal /Travel medications and more

Going to the Emergency room is too expensive for something that can easily assessed at the Healthcare clinic. Where I live I am at least 20 minutes away from the Emergency room, but the Walgreens Clinic is less then 10 minutes  away from my family and I. I just moved to Texas and I have no idea where anything is, but then when I found out my local ER was over 20 minutes away I was quickly looking for another alternative.

I found a few health care clinic’s but they were way over priced and not worth the drive. So when I found out about Walgreens new and improved clinic I was overjoyed because they are open 7 days a week and even weeknights that’s perfect for me, I can leave work and head straight to the clinic to get checked. The prices on seeing a doctor may vary depending on what you are there for and what promotions they may have. With board-certified Family Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants you can trust their professional care. They also follow up with you by phone call after your visit. There is also more than 370 Healthcare Clinic locations nationwide, find one near you. Of course walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule and appointment online how amazing is that! I also found you can check the wait time in your area because you pop in.

One thing I really loved is the signs throughout the health aisles called “Answers at Walgreens” they gave us tidbits on what to do when you are in pain. The Walgreens Healthcare Clinic is truly something I feel every person and parent should checkout when they are trying to save money.  It’s great to know that Walgreens has my back when it comes to answering my questions and keeping money in my pocket.
