Fall means changing leaves, cooler weather and trying new things. Fall is my favorite time of year, I have an excuse to clean out my closet and donate some of my clothing, all while purchasing new pieces for an affordable price. So I decided to head to Sears to show you my top five must have fall pieces.
I wanted to see if I could find a few pieces that I can incorporate with my existing wardrobe while saving money. I was able to pick up two whole outfits for less than $40 dollars how amazing is that?! I was inspired by the runway this season, I saw colors, prints, studs and Polka dots.
1: Studs: Studs are huge this fall, they say punk is coming back which I think is pretty cool! I can’t wait to incorporate those pieces in my fall wardrobe. I found a great studded purse in my closet that I wanted to include in my top fall favorites. Everyone should have at least one studded piece in their closet. You can dress them up or down!
2:Patterns: Yes I did just say Patterns. Don’t be afraid to wear them, you can wear them with a solid color or dare I say wear patterns on top of patterns. Mixing two different patterns can be easy. Make sure to keep it in the same family though, try to mix the same pattern different ways. Lets say Large polka dotted top with a small polka dotted skirt. When you try this trend find colors that compliment each other, and lastly don’t be afraid to try new things.
3:Boots/booties: Boots can be dressed up or dressed down, you can wear it to work or out on the town. There is Knee high boots, thigh high boots, Ankle booties etc. This trend is something that can be worn all year round. Booties/Boots make my list of fall trends for 2013 and beyond.
4: Denim Jeans: Jeans are always in, but I noticed on the runway colored jeans were all the rage. So it got me thinking why don’t I look for Denim Jeans with patterns. So I found these Polka Dotted pink jeans for $7.79 at Sears. I always find it rewarding to buy a new pair of jeans every fall just to mix up my wardrobe. Do take inspiration from the runway by experimenting with your denim this season.
5: Statement Pieces: When I say Statement pieces I mean Bold out there clothing or jewelry. I found these beautiful leaf earrings that are big and bold and on sale for $6.00 at Sears. Don’t be afraid to wear something that will make you stand out from the crowd. At my church I was known to wear things that were out there, to the point when one of my earrings fell off at the end of the service one of the church goers said this can belong to only one person here Violet haha. So try to be the light at the end of the tunnel when It comes to Fashion.
When I went to Sears I was on a mission to find key pieces that I can reuse in my wardrobe. You can see my shopping trip here on my google plus album. I was able to score all these pieces for less than $40 dollars, I am so glad I am apart of the Shop Your Way rewards program, because I was able to receive an extra 35% off my entire purchase.
So I want to break down how much everything costs. I got the Gloria Vanderbilt Polka Dot Pink (Amanda) jeans for $7.79 it was retailed for $39.99 then went on sale for 60%. I also found a Kimono top from Beverly Drive retailed at $40.00 on sale for 60% which made it $11.60. Moving on to the Erika Sleeveless Vest retailed at $32.00 on sale for 60% made it $11.04. Last but not least the Statement piece earrings were $10.00 and I got it 35% off it which made it $6.00. Totaling my whole purchase to $40.00 plus tax! I can’t wait to go back to Sears and save some more. Check out my Shop your way catalog for more of my Fall Fashion looks!
