I’ve been an allergy suffer for my whole life, when my allergies act up it’s such an awful feeling. My head gets all cloudy and congested, my eyes start to water and it’s like someone open the flood gates from my nose. Then after a few days of suffering with allergies you get a painful flaky red nose, no bueno!! I can’t tell you how many times my allergies has ruined my makeup to the point that I just give up on wearing it at times. I get so frustrated when I put on foundation and I constantly have to blow my nose after application. Or when I am applying eyeliner or mascara and my eyes start to water. When I heard that Celebrity Makeup Artist Jackie Gomez partnered up with ZYRTEC to share her celebrity-inspired tricks to combat ALLERGY FACE® beauty challenges, like a red nose, puffy face and watery eyes I was so excited.
She shared a few looks that can help conceal your allergy face within minutes. Jackie Gomez is a fellow allergy suffer so she understands all the awful side effects that comes with your allergies. She came up with some makeup looks that help us camouflage ALLERGY FACE. You can find all of Jackie’s looks on the ZYRTEC Facebook page. I have tried a few of the tips on each of the looks she came up with and they really do help mask those ALLERGY FACE issues. The look that I really liked was the Fresh Faces & Glamorous, it’s so easy to do and covers up that ALLERGY FACE. I went with the Fresh-Faced look and applied concealer on any flaws I may have to create a natural look, added a soft taupe shadow on my lids. For watery eyes, she said to add a bit of mascara, apply a pink blush on the apples of the cheeks for a brighter look. Finish off with a pink lip!
Just the other day I had to go to see my doctor as my allergies were really bad and I just could not take it any longer, the continued watery itchy eyes and running nose. No one likes to have the dreaded ALLERGY FACE, that is not a good look for anyone and was so uncomfortable too! As soon as I walked in the doctor already saw how bad I was and once he ran a couple of test he gave me 3 (three) medications to help me out and in this trio pack he had ZYRTEC. Needless to say once I took ZYRTEC and got some rest I was feeling so much better.
