I met Farrah Estrella at FFFW 2013 in New York, she is amazing, such a kind soul, beautiful and ever so talented. We hit it off right away I think it is because we are alike in so many ways.
She had her first Blogger’s Conference in Tampa, Florida and it was a huge success. She told me that the reason for the conference was to unite the blogging community in Tampa, to share ideas, meet other bloggers that they may not know, network with other members of the media (photographers, designers, models, PR agents, etc..) and share their resources in order to better their craft and learn something new.
They get a lot of questions about blogging that is why they decided to create this forum to give everyone an opportunity to learn and ask questions. The title of the conference was “Blogging 101” and some of the topics that they covered were: How to start a blog, different types of content, social media, how do you grow your blog, how to make money blogging among others.
She had a lot of support, but who would not support her? One of her sponsors was Lane Bryant among other great companies.
I am so happy that it was a success, she loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into it. I hope someday she will come to Puerto Rico and give one of these conferences here.

Marta Rivera is a blogger from Puerto Rico, she is an English professor and a Plus Size advocate on the Island, an Island that is mainly for thin models, but she is trying her best to change that. Marta will be blogging for Curvy Girl on a Budget letting us know everything that is happening in the Plus Size community from fashion to events in Puerto Rico.
